Traditional fish and chips in the heart of Bruntsfield since 1962.

It all started back in 1962 when my grandfather Giuseppe opened his first chip shop in Marchmont road, Edinburgh. Getting fresh fish each day was a challenge. My grandfather had to be at the fish market by 4am to have any chance of getting the best quality haddock, and if you weren’t quick enough then you went without.

The Globetrotter fish bar has been a part of Bruntsfield for more than 30 years. After working alongside my father for many of those years I have decided to refurbish and rebrand Globetrotter which will now be known as Saltwater.

COOKED FRESH TO ORDER BECAUSE WE BELIEVE IT MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE

Here at Saltwater we serve traditional fish and chips along with some other traditional options. The fish is delivered daily from a trusted local supplier for over 30 years. Everything is prepared daily to guarantee freshness.

We have also invested in a separate fryer for our gluten-free range so we guarantee there will be no cross contamination.

Thank you for supporting our family run business.
